Michael Gofman

Michael Gofman is an assistant professor of finance at Wisconsin School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Gofman recently earned his Ph.D. in finance and M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He also holds M.A. in economics and M.Sc. in finance from Tel Aviv University. In his previous research, Dr. Gofman has studied how intermediation in over-the-counter markets affects the efficiency of resource allocation, the role of large interconnected financial institutions in over-the-counter markets, and the desired structure of a financial system. Dr. Gofman is the winner of the Arnold Zellner Doctoral Prize and was the second runner-up for the Morgan Stanley Prize for Excellence in Financial Markets.
