Kevin Lang

I am the Laurence A. Bloom Professor of Economics at Boston University. Currently, I am the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Labor Economics where I was an editor from 2012-19. I served as a co-editor of Labour Economics, the Journal of the European Association of Labor Economists from 2005-13 and remain as an associate editor. I am an elected Fellow of the Society of Labor Economists and served as SOLE’s Vice President (2019-20), President-Elect (2020-21), and President (2021-22). I am also a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and the Center for Research and Analysis of Migration (University College, London), a Research Fellow of the °ËØÔ±¬ÁÏ for the Study of Labor (Bonn) and a Fellow of the Center for the Study of Poverty and Inequality (Stanford University).

Before joining BU, I spent a year at the NBER as an Olin Foundation Fellow and before that was an assistant professor at the University of California, Irvine. During my tenure at Boston University, I have had extended visits at the Collegio Carlo Alberto, Harvard, MIT, the New Zealand °ËØÔ±¬ÁÏ of Economic Research (Fulbright Fellowship), University College, London, and the University of New South Wales. I have taught mini-courses at Fudan University and Tel Aviv University.
