Mohsen Javdani is an associate professor of economics at the University of British Columbia 鈥 Okanagan Campus. He received his PhD from Simon Fraser University in 2012, and his Master鈥檚 degree from the University of British Columbia in 2006. Dr. Javdani鈥檚 research interests are varied, spanning economics of gender, economics of immigration, economics of education, personnel economics, and more recently the role of behavioral and ideological biases in economics. However, one identifiable theme in his work is studying and challenging the mechanisms and processes that hinder plurality and produce inequality, injustice, exclusion, and marginalization.
